Our Cabo trip was a blast! Read my hotel guide and my guide to Flora Farms for more Cabo resources! My husband and I went to Cabo in July to celebrate my birthday. I had been once before, but it had been a few years. As I was researching what to do, where to stay, where to eat, etc., I was seeing some of the same *general* tips and ideas. People would recommend "go sailing" but not share any information about what company to use. So I had to research everything myself.
Now, I'm able to share our exact trip details so your planning process can be a little easier than mine was.
We knew that we wanted to do a sailing excursion, visit the Cabo arch, and Lovers Beach. Watch my sailing reels video to see a little bit of our trip!
We ended up booking the "Luxury Sailing, Snorkel, and Lunch Cruise" through Cabo Adventures and it was exactly what we wanted. The second you get down to the marina, you start getting approached by locals asking if you want a boat, want to join a tour, etc., so it was *definitely* the move to have your outing booked in advance.
We were picked up from our hotel (so convenient!) and taken to the marina, where we checked in and joined our captain/crew.
We booked a group excursion and it was so fun to chat with some of the other visitors! (we *love* making friends on vacation!). As we walked from the air-conditioned Cabo Adventures office/meeting spot, we talked with our captain, and we ended up being the first people to get on the boat...that meant first dibs on seats. ;) TBH there are no bad seats, but we sat at the very front of the boat and had plenty of room to take photos and videos, so I was thrilled. Of course, I offered to take photos of as many other guests as I could! Pay it forward!
We sailed out of the marina at Cabo San Lucas and made our way to the Cabo arch first! Of course it was packed! We got our photos and moved on to another "cabo" (cape!) nearby and got out the snorkel gear and paddle boarding! Let me tell you: paddle boarding in the ocean is very different than paddle boarding in a lake!! I could barely stand up!! Ha!
We started our trip with a toast (this trip is open bar and includes lunch). After we snorkeled and worked up our appetite, we got back on the boat for lunch and refreshments. Everything we had was great.
Don't forget your sunscreen! AND don't forget your dramamine. Apparently one of the men on our trip got sick...I didn't even know until someone else mentioned it.
I think the whole trip out and back was around 4-5 hours. Plenty of time to enjoy the sun!
