I am thrilled to welcome back Foodie Friday to my weekly lineup! I really love cooking and baking, but recipe creation is an entirely different ball game! I wanted to be able to share the recipes I'm trying with you each week and thought "why not just tag other amazing cooks and share the love?!"

So every Friday, I'll be sharing a few recipes that I tried that week (if they pass the Rhonda test!). Adam and I usually cook at home 2 -3 times per week, and we'll see if that changes at all after moving into the new house next week. If you missed it, we bought a house! So I'll be sharing those recipes with you here each week! If I feel lled, I can always add in a special recipe of my own! ;)

Fall is my favorite season to cook in (is that everyone or just me?!), so I can't wait to share a few cool-weather recipes I've been eyeing! I'll also be sharing on Instagram Stories each week (hopefully I'll remember!).

Last week, I tried this Dutch Oven Pot Roast and it was my first-ever pot roast that wasn't in a crockpot! I felt so accomplished. The recipe was pretty straight-forward and there's some wiggle room to make it your own. The best part is...it all cooks in one pot, so limited dishes! Right now, in the midst of packing the house, we have a limited number of pots and pans still out, so one pan/dish meals are a huge win for me right now!

Homemade Spinach Pesto Pasta. Ok raise your hand if you don't *actually* know what pesto is! I thought I did, but I didn't realize it's like ALL basil. Haha! I had a ton of basil growing in my garden and I was tired of using three basil leaves at a time for a Caprese Salad skewer, and knew I needed to do something different! I looked up some pesto recipes and was so pleased to see that they called for like 2 to 4 cups of basil!! Perfect! Pesto is amazing simple to make, and it just seems a little more impressive than regular spaghetti. Definitely try it for your next dinner party or when you want to jazz things up for pasta night!
