It's true. I have never owned a pair of white denim before these jeans! In general, finding the perfect jeans that fit just right can be tough, but white jeans are exponentially harder because they show every little flaw on your body. (Shout-out to all the girls who aren't a size 2!) Literally every spring, I I start shopping for a few wardrobe updates and think that maybe this year I'll find some white jeans, so I try on a few pairs, get discouraged, and convince myself that I don't need them and I will be just fine without them. Then repeat the process again the next year. Well, this year was finally different! I've been working out, but I'm still a solid size 8 (with hips!); this year, though, I'm shopping in some different stores than I have in the past. I was definitely stuck in "designer jean" mentality and believed that jeans would only look good on me if i invested a substantial amount in them. It's true that investment pieces are often worth it, but it's also true that I was being a jean snob ;)
Fast forward to branching out and recently shopping at Old Navy for this post and I also found these white jeans there. I tried them on and was actually pleasantly surprised! These are the mid-rise Rockstar distressed denim, and they are super soft and not see through! I would say that they are almost a high-rise, which I love. The best part? They're only $36!! I have officially changed my mind about white jeans and if you struggle with white denim, definitely try these for yourself. Most people go up a size in white jeans, so don't be concerned if you have to do that. I am so excited that I can finally wear white jeans! Keep an eye out for many more fashion posts featuring these jeans ;)
