If you saw my Instagram stories recently, you may have heard me talking about "goods that give back" and it gave me the idea for a non-traditional gift guide blog post! With only a few more days until Christmas, it's time to focus on the people you haven't bought gifts for (or yourself, duh!) and find something that they'll love! Here are a few ideas for gift possibilities and experiences that I think would make a great Christmas present!

High Point Supply Co.

Have you heard of this local Dallas company? High Point Supply Co. focuses on goods that help you fight poverty and injustice, for His glory. I love that. They're a company of believers, and they work with people and organizations around the world to source goods that are *actually* helping people, and partner with them to bring those goods here via their e-commerce site! Y'all know I love dainty rings and fun earrings, so that's exactly what I got from HP Supply Co! They also have leather goods, and some home decor items. Perfect gifts for the people in your life who want to make a difference with where they spend their dollars!

Cirque du Soleil

Why not? I'm including this in the list because I'm betting you wouldn't have thought about it otherwise! I got an invitation to the circus last week in my inbox, and I was like OH! that would make a great gift for someone who wants a neat experience instead of a gift! Especially since The Greatest Showman came out, who doesn't want to go to the circus?! Exactly. I went to Cirque du Soleil last year and had the best time! Every 5 seconds, I was like "ohhhh" "ahhhhh"...so amazed at their tricks! I think tickets start at $45 and they are in Dallas from January 23rd - February 17th!

Name a Star!

I couldn't NOT include this in my unique gift roundup guide! I feel like every sitcom in the 90s had an episode where someone gave the gift of naming a star for someone. No? Am I making that up? Either way, it's kind of cheesy and cool at the same time. Better. Than. Nothing!

Services

Hear me out. What do they always need help with or complain about doing? Cleaning, yard work? WASHING THEIR HAIR?!?!?!?! Better than a gift card to their favorite store is a get out of jail free card for their least favorite activity! Other services that are always winners include: mani/pedi, facials, massages....and here are a couple new ones: stretching and cryotherapy. Those are things that are luxuries, but also are so good for your body and relieve so much stress! I recommend Stretchzone and Cryo1one for those!

Travel

Hello, how fun is it to buy someone a surprise plane ticket! I promise it's not that hard to plan a surprise trip. Promise. ALL you have to do is say "are you free this weekend? Ok good, block it off completely" and then you have a whole weekend to work with! I would LOVE if someone surprised me with a weekend trip to a fun city, beach, or the mountains! Plane ticket to Denver- less than $100! Earlier this year, I flew to Chicago for $81! You're going to spend $100 anyway- might as well make it something GOOD and MEMORABLE! ok ok, bonus points if you put the tickets into a new suitcase and gift some luggage as well! haha but that's a whole different level!

Staycation

If you absolutely can't get out of town for a whole weekend, what about staying in town, but staying somewhere special?! I LOVE a good staycation, and can someone please explain to me why staying in a hotel is always more fun than staying in your own home? It's just like a mini adventure! Of course, in Dallas, there are some great hotels for staycations. One of my faves is The Adolphus- AND bonus: they also have a spa, delicious restaurant, bar, and fun pool. So you can really relax and stay there all weekend without leaving the hotel or getting bored!

Those are my top recommendations for unique gift ideas or something different if you're in a pinch and don't know what to buy for a friend or that special someone! Merry Christmas! :)
