My current three favorite coffee shops in Dallas!

It's no secret that I love my coffee and that Insta-worthy coffee shops are a hobby of mine. Last year I wrote a longgg post sharing the top 20 coffee shops of 2018 in Dallas. It was awesome. There was a beautifully illustrated coffee map, detailed descriptions of each shop, and even ordering recommendations. I guess I was an over-achiever in 2018, because today's post contains none of those things. But it DOES show the top three coffee shops in Dallas, as determined by my frequency of visits!

Yep, every media outlet in Dallas does roundups and favorites and "top whatever' lists, BUT do they actually go to those places?!? No. One of my blogging pet peeves is when I see "guides" featuring places and things that the writer has never tried personally! Of course, there are different types of articles and lists, and to each their own, but I wanted to share the top shops that you KNOW I love because you see me there all the time. Proof. ;)

Foxtrot Market

If you follow me on Instagram, you have definitely seen me at Foxtrot Market lately. I like to sit at the tables by the windows- that good natural light....mmmm. Foxtrot just arrived in Dallas from Chicago, which explains why it's so cool, I suppose. It's half coffee shop, half cafe, and half supermarket, and half convenience store. Wait. ??? haha you can grab a coffee and chill, or you can order something online and have it delivered to you! They sell everything you need for a girls night in, a friend's birthday, an afternoon at the pool, or a firepit night.

Everytime I go there, I run into people I know...or I just invite a friend to come with me BECAUSE it's so freaking cute that I want to take a photo every time I'm there! Good vibes, good people, and bonus: cute bathrooms. I usually work there at least one day a week. I love that they have breakfast tacos, and lunch options if I get hungry, and their coffee is delish. I can't wait for fall because their adorable patio space has a firepit!

Pro tip: it looks like there is only one bathroom. but NO. The other one is around the corner in the "grocery" section. You're welcome.

La La Land Kind Cafe

I KNOW you have seen every blogger pose with the La La Land bright yellow pickup truck that lives outside of the coffee shop. But there's a good reason they've all been there! First, of course its just the cutest. I appreciate good coffee, but shoutout to the coffee shop owners who give bloggers a little something extra by putting some thought into their overall brand design and aesthetic! haha I love that La La has some specialty coffees, like a french toast latte, and excellent matcha! I'm not a big matcha person, but I keep trying it...everyone loves their matcha though!

I enjoy working at La La but it's probably best suited for a friend catch-up sesh. Small tables, and not many of them mean it's not the best place to camp out with your laptop for hours. Whenever I do end up working there, I usually end up caving and ordering a toast or a cookie! Their chocolate chip cookies are out of control. (out. of. control!) I'm not an avocado toast person, BUT they do a strawberry, cream cheese, honey toast that is AMAZING. I can never get over why toast is so good and why I never make it at home. Idk. But definitely order a toast at La La. You won't regret it!

You'll also love that La La Land employs and mentors foster youth! So sweet! So now you can feel good about spending $6 on your latte! yay!

Bonus for all you dog moms and dads: there's a small "dog park" next to La La AND a pet-friendly patio, which means you can bring your pup!

White Rock Coffee Preston Hollow

Iced White Rocker. That's all I need to say. BUT I'll keep going... ;) I love the newest White Rock Coffee location because it's so close to my house! I "have an account" there so I just load up my account and "never have to pay!" haha or at least it feels that way. Location is key on this one, and the coffee is delish. The baristas are the nicest, and always greet me by name; it's so nice to feel known when you walk into a coffee shop! Since it's a neighborhood shop, I usually run into someone I know there, which is always fun...unless I'm a hot mess and didn't plan on seeing anyone that day. lol

Seriously though, order the White Rocker (I get it "half-sweet with oat milk") and you will be so pleased!

Pro Tip: if you plan to go there regularly, definitely start an "account" so you don't have to pull out your wallet every visit!
