I LOVE the summer and I always feel like it goes so by so fast! This year, I'm planning ahead to make sure that I enjoy this season in every way possible! I'm sharing a few things on my summer bucket list with you and giving you the scoop on the best spots to spend your lazy summer days in Dallas.
AS MANY POOL DAYS AS POSSIBLE!
Dallas is all about pool parties and I'm not mad about it! Every weekend, you have a chance to splash around at a few public and even private pools in Dallas. My favorites are the W Hotel pool deck and the Adolphus Hotel. The Adolphus is hosting a Friday Sundown on Seven series every Friday night with a DJ, and that's your chance to enjoy the frose and good vibes on the normally guests-only 7th floor pool deck!
Dallasites 101 is hosting a pool series with their free next event on Saturday, June 30th at the Broadstone; check the event description for their additional pool events!
LIVE IT UP FOR THE FOURTH!
If you're staying in Dallas for the Fourth of July this year, you HAVE to take advantage of the fact that the 4th is on a Wednesday this year! That means we have a few extra days to celebrate and I'm packing my schedule with red white and blue FUN! First up: Red, White & BEATS on Friday, June 29th at the newest hot spot in Dallas, the Lounge at Pazzo Uptown! Of course! $20 ticket includes a drink and dancing the night away at this exclusive Fourth of July kickoff mixer! Beats, photo booth, sweet treats...all the fun things. Don't miss it.
On Sunday, July 1st AND on Wednesday, July 4th, head to the W Dallas pool with Social Revolt for their Summer Sundaze pool parties! You may remember that I went to their Memorial Day pool party and had the BEST time! I'll be there FOR SURE on Wednesday, July 4th, so definitely COME WITH ME! I'm so excited....def need to book my spray tan! ;) (Gloww Tan is my fave!)
Of course, I'm also going the Kaboom Town in Addison! The crowd is insane, so be prepared, but the fireworks show is always worth it! Grab your friends and stay after the fireworks for a concert in the circle by Emerald City!
BIRTHDAY TRIP!
My birthday is July 10th, so of course the Fourth of July and my birthday week are always one long celebration- hence, my excitement! :) I'm pretty sure I can go ahead and check this off my list because I just booked a trip to COSTA RICAAAA with my gal pal Brooke and I cannot wait! 6 days of adventure and beaches, here I come! Hooray!
DON'T GET STUCK IN A RUT!
There are always new Dallas restaurants and specialty eateries popping up and I need to do a better job of keeping up with them! I'm hoping to try a new shaved ice spot this week called BingBox Snow Cream- it's Korean shaved ice and Korean food is always the cutest and most Instagramable so I'm fairly excited! This bullet point could be a whole blog post on it's own, but I don't want to overwhelm you with a giant list, so keep an eye out for Instagram coverage of new spots I'm trying all summer long (starting with ice cream, of course!).
You can definitely catch me on my favorite rooftops as it starts to cool off each day! If you havent yet, be sure to try Harlowe MXM for dinner or happy hour, The Statler Hotel for it's rooftop pool views and party vibes, and of course one of my long time favorites, HG Sply Co on Lower Greenville!
