A rooftop brunch, complete with social distancing and masks!

Welcome to our first Dallas Blogger Brunch event in 4 months! It has been a wild past few months, and while we aren't in the clear in regard to the pandemic, we are able to make adjustments as best we can and try to resume semi-normal activities on a small scale. In the past, brunches have been able to accommodate around 15 guests; for this event we had 8 guests in attendance and were able to spread out on the rooftop with no other restaurant patrons around!

Our first brunch back was held at Haywire in Legacy West! Haywire is all about Texas hospitality, and the service we received was excellent! Not to mention, we were able to use their unique event space - an airstream trailer on their third floor rooftop! The airstream was the perfect touch to make this an extra special event and we had plenty of room to spread out inside. The rooftop space overlooks the courtyard of the Legacy West Food Hall, which often hosts concerts and live events, so remember that for the future!

The Haywire team was great to work with, and if you're not ready to dine-in yet, their curbside menu is also excellent.

We partnered with Rustic Cuff, also in Legacy West, to provide each guest with a customized bracelet stack that fit their unique style! The Rustic Cuff team curated each gift after looking at the guests' Instagram profiles and determining their style and color preferences. Each gift was so special...Rustic Cuff would be a great place to start if you need a gift for someone but don't know what to get them.

This was such a special brunch because everyone was craving deeper social interaction, so I tried to open conversation up by sharing a few personal things and encouraging guests to do the same. The host plays a large part in setting the tone for the event, so I did my best to facilitate deeper interactions. We introduced ourselves and shared a little about how our day to day life looks different now than it did a few months ago. We talked about working with brands, tips and tricks, how to reach out to companies we want to work with, and how to cope with the new normal. I loved seeing everyone get to share a few things and learn a few things from each other! Such a special time!

We enjoyed the mimosa sampler from Haywire and had 4 juices to choose from to build our own mimosas. Of course, no brunch is complete without a "Cheers!" boomerang. I love this photo because you can see some of the Rustic Cuff stacks on our arms!

Let's talk about these Texas-size brunch plates! The avocado toast was beautiful and delicious! We had a few ladies order a taco appetizer as their meal, and this onion ring stack was such a hit!

I am usually the one who makes sure we have a good representation of carbs at the table, so I ordered the Texas Pecan Brown Butter Pancakes; they have a peach compote on top, and wow...they were amazing! I wish I could have eaten all the whole plate! I basically ate dessert for brunch, but the rest of the table enjoyed Haywire's carrot cake and bread pudding!

We had the best time and I look forward to many more brunches and events this year! My goal with Dallas Blogger Brunch is to provide a way for women to connect and learn from each other, all in a fun event setting.

Thank you to all of our beautiful guests for coming, to our talented photographer, Victoria Saperstein, for capturing these images, and to our event partners: Haywire, Legacy West, and Rustic Cuff.
