What a weekend! I celebrated my thirtieth birthday on Saturday with friends and had the best time! In years past, I've had a color fight, a flamingo lake weekend, a rooftop pool party, so this year I felt a little pressure to make it a great party, but I'm so happy with how this event turned out and I felt very celebrated. The event format made it easy for married friends, old roommates, and expecting moms to stop by for a bit without feeling pressured to stay all night, which I loved.

Since I couldn't make up my mind about what to do for my birthday and with all of my recent traveling, I ended up planning this party in 5 days. FIVE. I sent out invitations to guests 4 days before the party. (haha!) I wanted an easy theme and love color-themed parties, so gold fit the bill. The week before my birthday, I was boarding a plane and scrolling through Instagram while I waited to depart; I happened to see a post from The Bevy, showcasing their newly renovated space and send them a message right away! The Bevy is made up of 5 Dallas gals who are all wedding/event vendors and use the space for client meetings and small events. I knew a couple of the talented ladies and asked if I could have my party there! If you're looking for a small event or workshop space in Dallas, definitely look into The Bevy- I just wish I had more pictures of the beautiful space!

I used gold throughout the space to tie everything together, and a few pops of pink, of course! A few snacks and drinks were all I needed to set the stage for a night of catching up with old friends, photos, and getting life advice from friends who are already in the "30 club." I got so many comments like "welcome to the club!" and all I can say is that I didn't ask for an invitation to this club and I would be just fine without it! ;)

I loved having a low key party (this is low key for me!) this year and really enjoyed being able to talk with all of the guests who came to celebrate with me! So far, I'm enjoying being 30, but I still feel 29. ;) I'm already planning next year's birthday!
