I hope you had a fantastic Fourth of July weekend! I loved my long weekend of lazy days spent with friends at the pool and lake, grilling out and shooting fireworks. It's always hard to come back to work after a long weekend, but here are a few tips to keep you motivated during your first few days back!

1. Make a list. Empty your brain by getting even the most menial tasks onto paper; whether it's work-related or personal, write it all down. Once you've done that, don't be overwhelmed by the list; you can start to organize your list by priority and knock things out one at a time.

2. Set goals. Now that you have a task list, it's tempting to try to get everything done in one day- don't do it! Set a realistic goal for yourself to cross off the top 3 to 5 most important things on your list. If you're a super achiever like me, go ahead and includ "wake up" on your task list- automatic check mark! ;)

3. Get back into your routine. The hardest part about returning from vacation or days off is that you have disrupted your normal routine. Try to get back into your groove as quickly as possible; for me, that means unpacking, laundry, and putting away my pool floaties are at the top of my list! Grocery shopping and working out are often the hardest habits to get back to, so make it a team effort and invite a friend to grocery shop and cook with you or attend a workout class together! Teamwork makes the dream work! Good luck!
