If you live in Dallas, you probably love visiting Austin for weekend getaways and a break from big city life in Dallas. Last week I was in Austin for work and essentially ate my way through the city. ATX is home to some delicious tex-mex, BBQ, and specialty food trucks. Here are some highlights from my recent trip:

I visited the Peached Tortilla, an Asian fusion restaurant in North Austin. These brisket tacos were so yummy!

This is one of the walls at the Peached Tortilla- so colorful! The atmosphere and decor in Austin eateries is just as important as the food and I love that.

This little pink bag is full of the most delicious mini donuts that you have ever tasted! Little Lucy's hot pink donut truck is as tasty as it is cute! This was my first time to visit Little Lucy's, but I'm putting it on my "must visit" list for all of my future trips to Austin, right next to Homeslice Pizza.

One of my favorite places to visit in Austin is on South Congress- Big Top Candy Shop! These strawberry flavored gummy eggs are the funniest thing and just a glimpse of the novelty gummies and candy items that are sold at Big Top. I always buy small gifts for friends when I visit and they love them.  It's hard to beat the quirky shops and atmosphere in Austin, TX; I'm already planning my next trip for later this summer!
